1. Who We Are

This website is operated by dotnetabhishek at dotnetabhishek.com. It is a personal technical blog and learning platform covering topics including C#, Python, SQL, and AI development.

For any privacy-related questions please contact us using the details in Section 9.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Analytics data — page views, session duration, referral source, browser type, approximate location (country/city level), and device type. Collected only with your consent via Google Analytics 4.
  • Account data — if you register, we store your username and hashed password. Email is optional and only stored if provided during registration. This is used solely to provide access to authenticated features (e.g. ProfComm Coach, Learn AI).
  • Session data — temporary server-side session data used to maintain your login state and tool usage quotas. This is not shared with third parties.
  • User-submitted content — text you enter into tools such as ProfComm Coach (Jargon Simplifier, Meeting Prep, Mock Stakeholder, English Mock) and CyberGuard is sent to Amazon Web Services (Bedrock / Lex) to generate responses. We do not store this content after the session ends.
  • Contact form data — when you submit the Contact Us form, we store your name, email address, chosen subject, and message in our database. We also record your IP address and browser user-agent for spam prevention purposes. This data is only visible to the site administrator.

We do not collect payment card details, sell personal data, or use data for advertising.

3. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site. GA4 sets the following cookies:

Cookie name Purpose Duration
_ga Distinguishes unique users 2 years
_ga_9DXRCETG5G Maintains session state for this property 2 years

These cookies are only placed after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no GA4 cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

Your IP address is anonymised before transmission to Google. Data is processed by Google LLC under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms.

4. Why We Collect It

  • Analytics — to understand which content is useful, identify popular pages, and improve the site. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Account data — to provide authenticated features you have signed up for. Legal basis: contract performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Contact form data — to receive and respond to your enquiries. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — responding to messages sent to us is a reasonable expectation of both parties.
  • Session data — to keep you logged in and enforce usage quotas. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Analytics data — retained in Google Analytics for up to 2 years (configurable in GA4 settings).
  • Account data — retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
  • Contact form submissions — retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are reviewed and deleted unless there is an ongoing correspondence. You may request earlier deletion by emailing us (see Section 9).
  • Session data — cleared when your browser session ends or after 2 weeks of inactivity.
  • Tool inputs — not stored after the session ends.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) — analytics. Google Privacy Policy
